Day 1:
After early breakfast at your Cusco hotel, our Machupicchu America Travel expert guide will pick you up from your hotel lobby and board our comfortable transport to begin an amazing journey to the Sacred Valley of the Incas.
Our first stop will be at the Andean Camelids rescue center, here we will see Alpacas, Llamas & Vicuñas. Then we will stop at Taray viewpoint to take the classic Sacred Valley photos.
Then we will continue our journey to Pisac archaeological park and enjoy the stunning views over the valley and walk along its temples, residences, altars, channels. Then we will stop at the village of Pisac to visit its famous Pisac market where we can purchase some local souvenirs.
After this amazing start, we will drive to the village of Maras where is located the archaeological park of Moray (unique terraces in a circle shape) which contains an important agricultural system and learn about the Incan agricultural methods. And then, we will visit the famous Salineras or Maras Salt mines. The salt is extracted in artisanal form, the Salt Mines are made up of about 3000 small wells that have been exploited since the Inca times and it was an economic exchange way.
After enjoying our journey, we will stop at Urubamba town and enjoy a delicious buffet lunch.
After lunch, we continue our journey to Ollantaytambo and visit its amazing archaeological park, an extraordinary Inca citadel where we will find an amazing rock formation representing the Inca god Wiracocha.
Finally, we will make our way back to Cusco arriving around 17:30pm.
Important note if you will take a train to Aguas Calientes (Machupicchu pueblo): You can continue your journey to Machupicchu, we guaranteed to end the tour at Ollantaytambo train station so you can take any train from 15:37pm onwards.
